Christening/Baptism/Thanksgiving Services

We welcome enquiries from people about baptism for residents of Victoria Dock. Whether it’s for your child or a member of your family, we are happy to help.

Because we worship in the village Hall and not a typical Church building the service is relatively contemporary and informal whilst being reverent. However because it is informal we realise it may not be to everyone’s liking so we ask that you come and visit us once or twice before discussing a possible service.

Once you have attended a service, you will meet with a Baptism visitor who will normally make an appointment to come to your home. At this point, we would discuss with you possible dates. If you have chosen a Christening or Baptism there will be further preparation for you to do.

There are different forms of service available. You can discuss this with the Baptism visitor so that we can choose the forms of words that meet your needs.
