Welcome to Victoria Dock Church's website

Hopefully on the web site you will find out all you need to know about the Church.

Our Vision Statement

“Victoria Dock Church exists to see people and communities transformed by the power of God's love in action.”

About the Church

Our members come from all sorts of backgrounds, but we have one thing in common. We are finding out together what it means to follow Jesus and to serve Him in all we do. Right here, right now. You may just be looking, you may have questions or you may have journeyed with the Lord for many years - it does not matter, just come as you are.

Our Sunday morning services are informal and contemporary. We meet every Sunday at 10.45am in the Village Hall on Southbridge Road, Hull, UK. To find out more about our Sunday services click on the link.

The Church of England began work here back in 1990, and has been conducting public services of worship since 1993. We welcome all who would benefit from membership of their local church. The Church is led by the Revd Martyn Westby and a leadership team (known as a "District Church Council") made up of lay members from the congregation. The Church is part of the Parish of Drypool. To contact us please email church email .

What else do we do?

Midweek Groups

Small groups meet fortnightly on a Tuesday:

to encourage one another.

  • To follow Christ by sharing in worship, outreach and friendship together

  • To be a place of grass roots care and mutual support

  • To share joys and sorrows

  • To forge new friendships and deepen trust

  • To have fun together"

Social Life

As a whole Church family we try to meet socially once every two months. In the past, we have done such things as bowling, picnics, parties, meals at different houses, trips to the beach, talent nights and dancing.

FairtradeFairtrade

As a Church we take an interest in social and justice issues. We are a fairtrade Church so all the tea and coffee we have after the service is fairly traded.

Hull Foodbank

Each month we collect food for Hull Foodbank which is taken to them on the last Sunday of the month.

Hopefully this website has given you enough information to get you interested. For more information either come along to one of our services or events or email Victoria Dock Church or contact Martyn on 07791 694566.
