So many people now take part in this race, they have to stagger it over a few days countrywide and I have been told actually have to turn prospective runners away because they have reached capacity. Elaine was of course very much at the forefront of my mind when sponsoring people in the race this year. I’ll be cheering Ally on. I would like to echo Ally’s comments about Elaine’s strength and courage. Despite all she is going through she still retains her capacity for compassion for other people and continues to defend those she considers are suffering injustice.
I am sponsoring 3 people in the race for life campaign- two of them family members. I’ve been doing it for several years. It’s a fantastic way to help cancer research. One day we will beat it!
